Hello Friends and Family.
This last week was good. We started the week doing some good'ol' P-day stuff. Nothing spectacular.
The following day we went and stacked a bunch of wood for the ward organist. Her whole house is heated with a wood stove and she was running low and was nervous about the coming snowstorm,
The snowstorm hit us on Wednesday. It snowed about 6-8 inches in the space of about 6 hours so it was pretty heavy stuff. The mission advised that we stay inside and they grounded our cars.
After about 5 hours of being inside we decided that we didn't like it and went outside anyway and talked to some nice people. One of them was Glenn. He was snowblowing the apartment complex in his t-shirt and a beanie that said "weed" on the side that was decorated with lots of colorful little tomato leaves. I didn't really get it.
We are going to help Glenn stop smoking! We also went to an Ice-hockey tournament in Concord to go around and talk to people. It was loads of fun.
Other than that not too much else went on this week. We had a good district meeting and talked about the importance of promising blessings and bearing our testimony when we give a commitment.
People need a reason to change and since we are set apart we have both the power and authority to promise blessings to God's children.
Commitment is an eternal principle. We understand that we are here in this life because we committed to follow our Heavenly Father's plan to become more like Him by following the perfect example of his son. In return we are promised that our families can live together forever in the presence of God.
I know that this gospel is true and that this is the Lord's great and marvelous work.
Love you!
until next week!

No Mosquito but 1 Burrito
Hello Friends and Family!
I had a really awesome week this week and here is why.
On Monday we had our zone P-day activity where the entire zone gets together and we do fun stuff.
After the p-day we all hit the streets of concord talking to people and inviting them to learn!
Here is where the story gets a little funny.
Elder Smith and I were walking main st of Concord and this man comes out of the store and we ask him "where is a good place to eat around here?" so he tells us about this burrito place down the street that was really good and he was going to pick up his food there. He invited us to follow him there, so we did, talking about his life etc.
We go into the burrito shop and he jumps in line to pick up his burrito. I have to be honest with all of you I had no intention of buying a burrito but I had a predicament because now I was standing in line behind this gentleman who walked us all the way here. At this point I decide that despite the fact that I had already eaten dinner at this point I was going to buy a 7 dollar burrito for the sake of the contact. Hoping that he would stick around and talk to us for a few minutes.
After I order my sweet-potato burrito with beans and cheese, I ask the man. "have you ever spoken to missionaries before?" He said "probably about six times a week, you guys are nice but I am not interested."
So there I was, defeated. With nothing to show for it but an overpriced burrito that I had no intention of eating. The moral of the story is. Make sure you invite the person to learn BEFORE you stand in line and are peer pressured into buying overpriced Mexican food.
Other than that the week was fairly normal. We had the new sisters come in. We lost sister Hyde to Vermont and Sister Hill to Maine. We got sister Tobler from the MTC and Sister Hart from Maine.
Everybody is doing really well and we had a great district meeting where we talked about the importance of inviting others to repent and come closer to Christ. That is our purpose while we are here and I thank my Heavenly Father everyday for the opportunity to be here.
That's about all that I have for this week.
love you!

Well hello there
Good Monday morning everybody.
First things first, transfer news. Elder Smith and I will be staying for yet another transfer in Canterbury NH! That makes this the fourth transfer for me and the longest time that I have ever been in an area.
Early this week I had a missionary leadership training meeting. It is a special meeting that only happens 2wice a year so it was a pretty big deal. Basically all the district leaders and the zone leaders and the sister training leaders and the assistants to the president in the mission came together to discuss our role and our stewardship. It was a really powerful meeting where we talked a lot a lot of awesome stuff.
I love president Blair because of his abruptness. When talking about our job as district leaders he said something to the effect of: "if you don't feel overwhelmed about this you are either pompous or ignorant or both." He explained that ,like the basic structure of the church, the divine inspiration on how to work in the Lord's vineyard and care for his sheep is carried down from Him through righteous leaders to all of the missionaries in this mission.
It was pretty inspirational and I had a really good...albeit stressful time. I am really grateful for the time that I have been given to serve the Lord in this capacity. For all the wonderful people that I have met and for this gospel.
I love you and hope that you have a great rest of your week.
This gospel is true and brings lasting joy!
