Another Great Week

Hello everybody.

I don't have tons of time so this one will be pretty short. Sorry for that.

I guess if so we're to choose a highlight it would be that Christina, one of our investigators, hasn't drank any coffee for over a week! Something that she has been struggling with for many years. I just want to say that I know that the hearts of God's children are being prepared to hear about his restored gospel. Often times people think the doctrine can be difficult to except, when in reality it is more often the fear of the unknown and the change that keeps people away.

I love you. Have a great week!

Transfer Week

Hello everybody.

We had a good week this week. Most of it was filled with finding, but not in a traditional sense.

At the beginning of the year. The mission leadership set goals for 2018. One of the plans to begin building the foundation of a temple in our mission was to identify and reactivate 1 to 2 Melchizedek priesthood holder per area. Elder Morris and I have looking to find them and see if we can help them to come and renew their covenants. We spent a lot of our time looking up addresses and knocking on doors, not too much luck had been found yet, but we have seen some cool things happen from it.

This week was transfer week. One of the Portuguese sisters is going home. Elder Morris and I however, will be staying 6 more weeks!  It has gone by quite quickly I must admit. Other than that we helped a family move out to a different ward which is sad because they fed us a lot...

Other than that, there is not too much to report. I am grateful for the blessings and the miracles that I have seen. I know that Heavenly Father leads and guides his work and that He is eager to inspire us. We only have to seek it.

Thanks for all of your support. Love you and have a great week!

Exeter Zone Conference

Weeding in Lowell April 16th, 2018

Hello everybody.

This week was fairly uneventful. We went on exchange with our district leader. I was with Elder Levanger, his companion in Lowell. We did a good bit of finding and taught some awesome lessons to a few investigators that had been struggling to progress.

While on the streets of Lowell we ran into a man that started talking to us. He explained that he appreciated what we do. He said: "I know you are with Jesus and that's cool, but you have to understand...I AM weed." I couldn't tell if he was going through an existential epiphany, or if it was his somewhat broken English that lead to his confusing sentence.

Yesterday we had 3 people come to sacrament meeting!  They had a really good time and it will help them progress and understand more fully the Love of the Savior.

This morning, we went to a recreation of the patriots day battle in concord MA. It was fun despite the freezing cold conditions in the rain.

We stayed in Littleton last night and had a good time.
I hope that you all have a good rest of your week.
Love you!

Closer to Him April 9th 2018

Hello everybody.

We had a really awesome week this week. Not too much different happened early in the week and to be honest my memory seems to blend weeks together fairly often so if I repeat myself I am sorry.

Early this week elder Morris and I were looking for a guy that lives in a large apartment area. We know His address but not where he lives specifically...needless to say we spent about 45 minutes knocking on apartments looking for this guy. The awesome thing is that while looking for him we found 2 new young families to teach. We talked to them about the Book of Mormon and how it teaches and testifies of the Savior Jesus Christ.

The Book of Mormon and the spirit are our most powerful tools in teaching the Gospel and I know that that is true.
Later on Thursday we had zone conference. President Blair talked about the need to use members and reactivate those that have been to the temple and received the priesthood.  The 3 stake presidents serving over the 3 zones came and talked to us about this specifically. The cool thing about the Nashua stake is that the stake president is David Holland. Son of the well-known Jeffrey R. Holland. He is super awesome and he teaches at Harvard so he is pretty smart too. He talked to us about how the story of Exodus is like the plan of salvation. That God calls prophets to lead his people from places of captivity back to the land of promise. Or the presence of our Heavenly Father. One thing he noted is that temples are not because we want to be closer to God, but because God wants to be closer to us. Those that have been to the temple need to be reminded of what it is like to be in such proximity.

I love you all and I hope that you have a great week.!

Until next time!

Easter Week

Hello everyone!

A lot of stuff has happened in the last few days!

I guess that the coolest thing that happened is that our investigator, Joseph, was baptised and confirmed on Friday! It was a really awesome experience for everyone. Joseph is a nine year old in a less active family that has been returning. The previous elders were teaching him for a little while and he decided that he wanted to be baptised and become a member of the church!

That same Friday we did an awesome finding activity in Lowell where all the missionaries in the zone went out and handed out balloons to people and talked to them about Easter. It was really fun and we found almost 70 new people to teach in the short 2.5 hours that we spent doing the activity even in the rain.

Last Monday we did a zone P-day with all the members of the zone. It was fun. We just went to Nashua and played some basketball and boardgames and stuff.  It was pretty fun. Elder Anderson and Elder King from our MTC district. It was great.

I had a really awesome experience watching general conference. I took particular note to the importance of using the gift of the Holy Ghost to overcome our trials. The conference was very comforting. I felt that those addressing us are anointed servants of the Lord. I loved President Oak's talk about how doing small and simple things will bring about great and powerful things. Even though some things that we do may be mundane. They help us to become more like our Heavenly Father.

Love you, hope you have a great week!

Until next time.

God bless you all

Hello all,

Well Connor was not able to send a letter on March 26th.  I thought I would share with you a miracle that happens every month.

Every month right before the 1st we receive a card in the mail.  It never has a return address and has been sent monthly.  I thought I would record this for Connor so that he knows that his mission touches many people.  There are prayers being offered and many who are in the background cheering him on.  Every month - consistently.  If there is any 'take away' from this it is that our lives touch others and in every way we are all connected.   God bless us all.
