This week was fairly normal. I truthfully can't think of anything that happened that was terribly spectacular. We gave a church tour to a family that we have been working with since I arrived in the area almost *shudder, 6 months ago. They have a testimony of the Book of Mormon and of the Prophet Joseph Smith but they have difficulty coming to church which makes baptism all that more difficult. I think that the tour really helped them and we helped them to create goals that would help them to come closer to the sacred covenant of Baptism.
With the coming of new months means that we are setting goals for the coming month of March. I am certainly excited for the warmer weather, and the new opportunities that that brings into our work. Transfers are coming up again in about 2 weeks. Truthfully I don't think that I will go anywhere, even though I have already been here a while. Although one can never really know.
I have been thinking that in the gospel we can become distracted or overly involved in minute detail. The details of the gospel that are very important and critical to follow and remember, but only in the more grand scheme of the entire plan of happiness. The way by which we can and hopefully will return to our Heavenly Father forever as families.
in Moroni 8
25 And the first fruits of repentance is baptism; and baptism cometh by faith unto the fulfilling the commandments; and the fulfilling the commandments bringeth remission of sins;
26 And the remission of sins bringeth meekness, and lowliness of heart; and because of meekness and lowliness of heart cometh the visitation of the Holy Ghost, which Comforter filleth with hope and perfect love, which love
It is important as missionaries that those we teach understand these things and that we ourselves understand this as well. We don't need a perfect understanding of the gospel to live it, We just have to keep the goal in mind with the plan that has been set forth to reach it.
I hope that you all have a wonderful week. Thanks for everything
love,
Elder Connor Starr
