We had a really awesome week this week. Not too much different happened early in the week and to be honest my memory seems to blend weeks together fairly often so if I repeat myself I am sorry.
Early this week elder Morris and I were looking for a guy that lives in a large apartment area. We know His address but not where he lives specifically...needless to say we spent about 45 minutes knocking on apartments looking for this guy. The awesome thing is that while looking for him we found 2 new young families to teach. We talked to them about the Book of Mormon and how it teaches and testifies of the Savior Jesus Christ.
The Book of Mormon and the spirit are our most powerful tools in teaching the Gospel and I know that that is true.
Later on Thursday we had zone conference. President Blair talked about the need to use members and reactivate those that have been to the temple and received the priesthood. The 3 stake presidents serving over the 3 zones came and talked to us about this specifically. The cool thing about the Nashua stake is that the stake president is David Holland. Son of the well-known Jeffrey R. Holland. He is super awesome and he teaches at Harvard so he is pretty smart too. He talked to us about how the story of Exodus is like the plan of salvation. That God calls prophets to lead his people from places of captivity back to the land of promise. Or the presence of our Heavenly Father. One thing he noted is that temples are not because we want to be closer to God, but because God wants to be closer to us. Those that have been to the temple need to be reminded of what it is like to be in such proximity.
