Hello Friends and Family.
This last week was good. We started the week doing some good'ol' P-day stuff. Nothing spectacular.
The following day we went and stacked a bunch of wood for the ward organist. Her whole house is heated with a wood stove and she was running low and was nervous about the coming snowstorm,
The snowstorm hit us on Wednesday. It snowed about 6-8 inches in the space of about 6 hours so it was pretty heavy stuff. The mission advised that we stay inside and they grounded our cars.
After about 5 hours of being inside we decided that we didn't like it and went outside anyway and talked to some nice people. One of them was Glenn. He was snowblowing the apartment complex in his t-shirt and a beanie that said "weed" on the side that was decorated with lots of colorful little tomato leaves. I didn't really get it.
We are going to help Glenn stop smoking! We also went to an Ice-hockey tournament in Concord to go around and talk to people. It was loads of fun.
Other than that not too much else went on this week. We had a good district meeting and talked about the importance of promising blessings and bearing our testimony when we give a commitment.
People need a reason to change and since we are set apart we have both the power and authority to promise blessings to God's children.
Commitment is an eternal principle. We understand that we are here in this life because we committed to follow our Heavenly Father's plan to become more like Him by following the perfect example of his son. In return we are promised that our families can live together forever in the presence of God.
I know that this gospel is true and that this is the Lord's great and marvelous work.
Love you!
until next week!
Connor
